Month 6 - Growing in Prayer & Faith

Hi my prayer team / warriors.

I didn't write a post updating you all on last month, "Being Transformed by Scripture". Because, well, I struggled. Big time. I didn't connect with the readings and was very much stuck in my head.

However, in the vain of full transparency and vulnerability, I am attaching my very ranty and down-heartened response paper for October 2025:

As always, never forcing you to read it.

Needless to say, I was grateful to complete last month. And despite my "huffing and puffing at high altitude discipleship", I had very heartfelt conversations with KJ, my mentor Renee, and my therapist about October that lead me into November with renewed hope and more grace.

Prayer is absolutely, without a doubt, an area I'd love to grow stronger in. And even in the few November assignments I've already completed in the first 10 days, I can sense my head and heart wheels churning with new ideas and less legalistic insights of what prayer looks like.

It's evident that certain months have resonated much more than others, which I've experienced in month 1 on grace, month 2 on conversion, and month 4 on the Holy Spirit. (Funny the two months I struggled most both had the Bonhoeffer readings.... but I promised KJ I wouldn't totally give up on him.... yet). As much as I expect (what a nasty word) to be mind blown every month, that's unrealistic, and I'm incredibly grateful to look back and see the months God is actively teaching me and what he wants me to learn at this point in my life. It seems fair to say that November is already started to present itself as a "good" month, and I'm excited.

Prayer Requests?

  • Meditate on Bible verses of who God says I am, to arm myself with truth

  • Continue to fight lies, lack of grace for myself, and self-condemnation that arise as I complete this month's assignments

  • Pray before I start any assignment or before I open the Bible to ask the Holy Spirit to help me understand and abide

  • Find joy in creating a warm, delicious, loving, family environment for my 3rd year hosting Thanksgiving

Much Thanks Always,

xoxo Adrienne
